Val d'Isere
    Date:    March 17-24, 2001
Synopsis: In March a bunch of my friends from college played the second act in our series of big ski trips (the first was in Whistler, British Columbia) by taking off for Val d'Isere, a ski resort in the French Alps. Attending were: Albert Lai, Ben Oshrin, Marco Loconte, Ross Goodman, Jean-Denis Greze (my roommate), and me. Conditions varied, but at its best the skiing was absolutely pristine. Note that this was my first big trip snowboarding. While originally just a skier, it's looking at this point like I've turned in my skis for good for the glory that is the snowboard. Only time will tell for sure, I guess. We also did a day trip to Turin, Italy, mainly for the purpose of getting some tasty Italian food (which we got, and it was quite tasty) and also just to check out the city. It was a great trip overall, and I look forward to next year's.
